Collectorate

The District Collectorate at Chengalpattu functions under the District Collector and the District Magistrate. The district collectorate is the pivotal point of the district administration. General administration of the district, law and order and welfare administration are head quartered at the district collectorate.

The district collectorate functions with two major wings. While one wing headed by the District Revenue Officer looks after the revenue administration, another wing headed by the Project Officer, District Rural Development Agency in responsible for the administration on the development front.
